Visionary Influence · The Leadership Lab

Where leadership ideas are tested, not taught.

We bring one claim about leadership into a room of leaders. Their job is to prove it wrong. Whatever survives, they keep.

One session. One claim. Your leaders decide whether it holds.

Most leadership sessions transfer knowledge. Someone speaks, a room receives, and everyone leaves with the speaker's slides. A Leadership Lab runs the other way. It opens with a provocation sharp enough to divide the room. Then the leaders present test it against what they have lived: in private reflection first, then in small groups, then out loud. One full segment belongs to them, to try to break the claim. What survives becomes insight. What breaks becomes better questions. We call the method Suri. It's the Filipino word for examination. Not evaluation, but the disciplined looking that comes before conclusions.

Most leadership teams have never seen their own culture laid out in front of them while it's still operating.

That's the product. The Lab itself is a single session, sized to your room. The Brief follows: within a week of the session, you receive a written Synthesis Brief with the patterns your leadership population surfaced, the moments that taught your organisation what is sayable, where the claim broke or shifted, and three questions your leadership team should sit with. It is anonymised throughout. Patterns travel. Stories don't. Nobody's words leave the room attached to their name, and the consent your people give at the start says so in writing. The Brief closes with a note on what usually comes next. When a room keeps returning to how decisions travel and where they get stuck, that points at the organisation's mechanisms, and the next conversation is often with us about an Execution Diagnostic. When it returns to what the room has stopped saying, that points at leadership, and the next conversation is a Leadership Reset. Either way, the Lab stands alone. You take the Brief and act on it with or without us.

The current Labs.

The Silence Curriculum.

How organisations teach people when to speak, and when to stay silent. "Most organisational silence isn't caused by fear. It's caused by intelligence." Your capable, responsible people calculate constantly whether speaking is worth the cost. Those calculations aren't timidity. They are conclusions drawn from watching what happened the last time someone broke an unwritten rule. This Lab surfaces the calculations and the moments that taught them. Built for in-company leadership teams.

What's Left.

What AI will actually change about leadership, and what it will simply expose. "AI will not create a leadership crisis. It will expose the one that already exists." The competencies everyone names for the AI era, judgment, sense-making, presence, are the ones most organisations have quietly punished for twenty years, because each is slower than the alternative. This Lab asks what's left of leadership once the coordination goes. Built for conference rooms of up to 150.

A claim can also be designed for your organisation's particular moment.

She has sat in both seats.

Judy Anne Santos, our co-founder, leads every Lab. For twenty-five years she led from the operating side: P&L, commercial strategy across more than 30 countries, transformations at Maersk and Nike. She has been the youngest in the room, the only woman, the only Filipina, and the one carrying the decision. She knows what a calculation about speaking up feels like from the inside, because she has made it. Then she crossed the table. Thousands of hours with leaders and their teams, up to C-suite, at companies like Google, American Express and Unilever. She has sat in the unguarded moments of hundreds of leaders: the doubts they don't say in meetings, the drift they can't yet name. She is writing Balik Loob: The Return. The Discipline of Leading from Within, the first book to bring Filipino moral psychology into global leadership practice, and leads PINUNO, a research project gathering the voices of 1,000 Filipino leaders worldwide. Every Lab is part of that field work. The people in your room are contributors to it, not an audience.

Bring a room.

If you lead a leadership team, convene a network or programme a conference, tell us about the room and we'll tell you which claim we'd bring into it.
